Worms Slot Game is Based on the Computer Game of the 1990s
Worms is an online slot game based on the computer game that was so popular during the 1990s. It was an artillery challenge in which various types of projectiles were fired across the screen to try to defeat the enemy. The online slot game features the well known grenade wielding, military Worms in action. The game has five reels and fifty pay lines, and comes with a multitude of features and random bonuses, as well as stacked Wilds.
Graphics Like the Original Game
The graphics of the slot game Worms will be recognised from the original game, the background is filled with explosions and parachuting Worms, and game play is accompanied by martial music. Main symbols are represented by the worm characters that you will recognise from the computer game, and the lower value symbols are the standard playing cards, from nine to the ace.
The Wild symbol is the Scared Worm, and can replace any other symbol in the game to complete a winning combination, apart from the Scatter. Wild symbols can appear stacked on the reels, which means you can win some big payouts for the right winning combinations. The Scatter symbol is the well known Worms Crate, and this will activate the main bonus round.
Free Spins Bonus Round
The Scatter Crate appears on reels two, three, four and five, and if you land three or more anywhere on the reels you will unlock the bonus round. You will be asked to pick one of the Crates, and you will be awarded a bonus round. You will get a chance to spin the reels and win money, but you have to watch out for three different symbols appearing on the centre reel. If you land on the Sergeant Major Worm you will win a cash prize. If you land on the Skull & Crossbones Worm your health will be impaired, but if you land on a Doctor Worm he will restore your health. Extra Wilds are added to the reels during this bonus round, but when your health reaches zero, the round will end.
In the Worms slot game, there is also a Space Trail Bonus. In this round you have to work your way along a bonus trail, where you have to collect multipliers that will increase in value as you go along. If you select one of the Tool boxes that you will see on the right side of the screen, and it will contain either a weapon or a sign reading Advance. If you find the Advance sign you will be allowed to move along the trail, but if the weapon hits you the round will end. This round is a progressive bonus with a prize of one thousand times your initial stake that can be won.
Also a Crate Escape
Another bonus round is the Crate Escape. Here you choose one of ten Crates that are on show on either side of the Scottish Worm. Each Crate will contain either a cash prize, or a weapon, or a medi-kit. You keep collecting Crates and prizes until enough weapons have hit you to ruin any health you may have had. Some of your energy and health can be restored by the appearance of the medi-kit.
Worms will be remembered and enjoyed by everyone who played the game during the bygone days of the 1990s. It may not appeal to low rollers because of the fixed number of pay lines, but the bonus features offer plenty of action.
